Itinerary

1 Day: Flight to Tbilisi

Arrival in Tbilisi on this day or in the early morning hours of the next day. Pick up the rental car at the airport. Check-in at your hotel in Tbilisi.

2 Day: Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Tbilisi

City exploration on your own or with a local guide. In the afternoon, discover the ancient capital of Mtskheta (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the Shio-Mgvime Monastery.

3 Day: Tbilisi - Lake Paravani - Vardzia

Drive through the lake-rich southern region to the cave city of Vardzia. Sightseeing and check-in at Vardzia.

4 Day: Vardzia - Akhaltsikhe - Gori

Drive along the picturesque Mtkvari Valley to the town of Akhaltsikhe. Visit the fortress and then continue to the spa town of Borjomi before heading to Gori. Check-in in Gori.

5 Day: Gori - Uplistsikhe - Ananuri - Stepantsminda

Drive and visit the cave town of Uplistsikhe. Continue along the Georgian Military Highway to the town of Stepantsminda in the Greater Caucasus. Check-in.

6 Day: Stepantsminda - Gergeti - Telavi

Drive up to Gergeti Church, then drive through Achmeta to the wine region of Kakheti with stops for sightseeing along the way. Check-in in Telavi.

7 Day: Relaxation day

Relaxation day at the vineyard hotel. Optional half-day excursion to nearby attractions. Guided tour at the vineyard with wine tasting.

8 Day: Telavi - Signagi / David Gareji - Tbilisi

Return journey to the capital with a stop in Signagi or at the semi-desert of David-Gareji. Check-in at Tbilisi.

9 Day: Departure

Transfer to the airport and departure flight.

Important Information

During the pickup of your rental car, a security deposit of $200 USD will be required. This deposit serves as a precautionary measure in the event of any damages or incidents during your rental period and is fully refundable upon the return of the vehicle in its original condition. Please note that the deposit can be made using a credit card, and it will be held until the conclusion of your rental agreement. Once the rental period is over, and no issues are reported, the deposit will be returned to you in a timely manner.

Please note that full insurance does not cover off-road trips. We recommend you review the terms and conditions of your rental agreement for further details.

- The gasoline costs for the basic program, covering approximately 1300 kilometers, amount to around 160 euros when using a car.

- Supplement for Toyota RAV4: 65 EUR per person for the entire tour
