Mandatory Travel Insurance for Entry to Georgia (from January 1, 2026)
Starting January 1, 2026, all visitors entering Georgia must present a valid travel insurance policy. The insurance (health and accident coverage) must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Georgia.
If needed, we can also arrange a suitable insurance policy for you through a Georgian insurance company.
Insurance Requirements
Your insurance policy must be:
• Available in printed or electronic form
• Issued in Georgian or English
• With a minimum coverage of 30,000 GEL
• Issued by any Georgian or international insurance company
The policy must include the following details:
• Names of the insured person(s) and insurer
• Covered territory
• Scope/subject of insurance
• Start and end dates of the insurance
• Covered risks
• Insurance coverage limits (sum insured)
• Deductible amount, if applicable
• Payment terms and location
