1Day: Flight to Tbilisi

Arrival in Tbilisi on this day or next day early in the morning. Transfer to your hotel in Tbilisi. Check-in. 

2Day: Tbilisi Daylight to Starlight Tour

Today, during a morning city tour, you'll explore the historic old town of Tbilisi, which extends from the base of the Narikala Fortress. This charming area enchants every visitor with its romantic alleys, colorful squares, and proximity to many attractions, including the Metekhi Church, the Sulphur Bath District, and the Anchiskhati Church. Colorful houses with intricately carved balconies adorn the cityscape on both banks of the Mtkvari River.

In the afternoon, you can enjoy some free time on your own or relax at your hotel until the evening portion of the tour. During the evening, we'll take you to the Sulphur Baths (optional, for a supplementary price of 25 EUR per person), where you can indulge in a one-hour bathing experience in a private bathroom. Afterward, we'll ride the funicular to the panoramic Mt. Mtatsminda to enjoy the city's twilight view and have a drink. Upon descent, you'll savor a delicious dinner featuring traditional Georgian dishes in a restaurant.

3Day: Heritage and Music: Mtskheta to Kutaisi

Today's journey through Georgia is a captivating blend of history and culture. We start by exploring the ancient Georgian capital, Mtskheta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our first stop is the majestic Jvari Church, offering panoramic views of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers.

Next, we visit the Swetitskhoveli Cathedral, an 11th-century masterpiece with awe-inspiring architecture. Our journey continues to Kutaisi, once the mythical Colchis Kingdom, famous for the Golden Fleece quest.

In Kutaisi, we witness history come alive at the Colchis Fountain, a symbol of the past. We stroll through the central park, cross the elegant White Bridge, and savor stunning river and city views.

After you have checked into the hotel, you can look forward to a captivating performance by a local ensemble that presents not only impressive Georgian dance art but also stirring Georgian polyphonic singing. Georgian polyphony was recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage in 2001.

To conclude this remarkable day, dine at an intriguing restaurant. Delight in regional specialties like Pkhali (nut-based appetizers) or Shkmeruli (chicken in garlic sauce), complementing the day's historical wonders and allowing you to savor Georgia's rich heritage in every sense.

4Day: Batumi Coastal Escape: Botanical Beauty and Harbor Adventure

Experience a day trip to the Black Sea coast, heading to Batumi, Georgia's second-largest city. Begin your journey with a visit to the Batumi Botanical Garden, an expansive 108-hectare oasis nestled along the Black Sea coast. Here, you'll encounter a captivating array of plants from around the world, and as you wander through the lush gardens, you'll find yourself immersed in a tranquil haven of peace and natural beauty. From the garden's scenic viewpoints, take in breathtaking vistas of the Black Sea and the stunning coastal landscape. For lunch, don't miss the opportunity to taste the famous Adjarian Khachapuri.

In the afternoon, explore Batumi, a vibrant coastal city that seamlessly blends diverse cultures and influences. With its modern architecture harmoniously coexisting with historical charm, Batumi offers a captivating cityscape. As part of your exploration, take a leisurely stroll along Batumi Boulevard, a picturesque promenade that stretches along the coast. This charming boulevard offers a delightful seaside atmosphere and additional opportunities to enjoy the coastal views. Later in the day, embark on a short cruise near the harbor, allowing you to admire the city from the sea and, with some luck, spot dolphins. Afterward, return to Kutaisi, where you'll have the evening free to enjoy at your leisure.

5Day: The Majestic Mountains of the Greater Caucasus

In the morning, enjoy the view over the city of Kutaisi from Bagrati Cathedral before embarking on a journey to the central province of Kartli. Here, you will visit the impressive cave town of Uplistsikhe, dating back to the 1st millennium BC. Carved into the gentle cliffs of the Mtkvari River valley, this ancient city stands as a remarkable testament to early civilization in this region.

Continuing your journey, head into the Greater Caucasus mountains, to the foothills of the legendary Mount Kazbek (5054 m). This road, known as the "Old Georgian Military Highway," captivates with its charming landscapes of alpine meadows, rushing mountain rivers, and snow-capped peaks. Check in at your hotel in Stepantsminda. Before dinner, partake in a cooking class where you will learn to prepare traditional Georgian dumplings known as "Chinkali.

6Day: Exploring Georgia's Vineyards

In the morning, set out on a picturesque journey using local Jeeps to reach the renowned Gergeti Trinity Church. This impressive church proudly stands at an altitude of 2,170 meters, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the majestic Mount Kazbek in the background, as well as the charming surrounding mountains and villages.

Next, your adventure continues with an exciting cable car ride over the mountains, offering spectacular vistas as you make your way to the charming ski resort of Gudauri. From there, your path leads to Georgia's eastern province, the famous wine region of Kakheti. Upon arrival in Telavi, you can check in to your hotel. 

As the evening approaches, you'll enjoy a short transfer to a nearby village, where a guided tour of a Qvevri workshop awaits. Here, you'll delve into the fascinating world of Georgian winemaking, renowned for its unique method of fermentation and storage in underground clay vessels known as Qvevri. This traditional Georgian winemaking technique was honored with a place on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage in 2013. 

The day concludes with a delightful dinner, where you can savor the culinary delights of the Kakheti region, accompanied by homemade wine. This is also where you'll meet the Tamada, a table host who is an essential part of Georgian feasts. The Tamada raises toasts and ensures a cheerful gathering of guests. 

7Day: Culinary Delights and Return to Tbilisi

Start your day with a leisurely stroll through the charming city center of Telavi. Next, embark on a captivating visit to a local cheese producer, where you'll explore the art of cheese-making. You'll receive an informative introduction to cheese production and have the chance to savor a variety of cheese types during a tasting session.

Our journey continues as we drive to the picturesque town of Signagi, surrounded by an impressive 18th-century wall. Perched on a hill, Signagi offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Alazani Valley that are sure to leave you captivated. Our next stop is the Bodbe Church nearby, the final resting place of Saint Nino, a pivotal figure in the spread of Christianity in Georgia during the 4th century.

To wrap up this day of exploration, we'll visit the charming Giuaani Winery, renowned for its exquisite wines and enchanting atmosphere. After an enthralling wine tour, indulge in a wine-tasting session followed by an early dinner at the winery, savoring the finest flavors of Georgian wine.
